Meeting 13 October 2004

Today at Sit_cops we trialled using the forms that Susan had kindly redrafted. We suggested some modifications to the forms so they will be redrawn.
Discussion of how we might start our Assessment Validation activities included:
SOme discussion about curriculum .
Being creative about setting time aside to perform this function!
Including it in Ed.Planning sheets.
Holistic approach, eg Validating several modules which are taught holistically.
Janet asked us to think about next meeting:
Models of Assessment Validation (what are other people doing?)
A story about what we are currently doing in our sections
What will the next initiatives be?
sheck the yellow planning proforma we received at the last meeting.
How might the COP continue to influence others at Petersham

If I have left anything out, please feel free to add you own posting!

New Members.

A couple of you have now accepted your invitations & become members. You have also been given Administration status which means you can post items under your own names, not just through the comments. When you open blogger under your user name you will see the blog of which you are a member (more than one if you have done this before) & that there is a symbol that indicates 'create a post'. Give it a go & put up a post....doesn't matter if it's not about Assessment Validation, just have a play with it. You will need to refresh the screen when you click "view blog in a new window" to see your post, don't worry if it's a bit wonky we can delete our posts later. Just don't delete the blog! well..... even that is not the end of the world!
Soon you will be able to add links, photos of the kids, just spend a few minutes reading the blog site ...they have a comprehensive help site.

Steaming Ahead with Assessment Validation

Moving along with templates and other forms, I hope you all received the email from Mick with the wonderful attachments. Louise is abandoning this august group, mainly because she is running a program for us at Outreach. I have won the honour of taking over the responsiblity for the blog. I hope I can do you all justice!
